Silberschmiede Adam

When you walk through the door at the Silbersmiths Adam, you don't know which feeling prevails. Is it gratitude that places like this still exist? Is it curiosity to find out what lies beyond the old staircase? Or is it the authenticity radiating from both, the tiled stove and the man at the workbench? In any case, the latter is at the centre of the overall experience: Bernhard Adam.

SILBERSCHMIEDE ADAM
SILBERSCHMIEDE ADAM

Timeless collector's items

A master silversmith with a character just as authentic as the 800-year-old premises in which his workshop is located: "I don't use any prefabricated parts, I don't purchase anything, I don't have any commercial merchandise - I only use silver bars and silver plates as the basis for my craftsmanship, i.e. the pure raw material." The possible result is based on the interaction of his manual creating skills and a large dose of idealism. For Bernhard only produces one-off pieces. Without time-saving moulds, purely by hand and exactly for this reason with a seemingly endless individual horizon. "People often can't even imagine what is actually possible." But anyone who finds his way to the historic house 'Im Gries' has the range of possibilities right before his eyes. The silver guitar pendant is looking forward to its upcoming birthday performance and the stone-decorated eye-catching ring is feverishly awaiting the "Yes, I do!" moment, and Bernhard's style is similarly as binding as a wedding vow and accompanies his customers throughout their lives. Like the wine lover who wanted a golden goblet for his evening pleasure sip and for whom Bernhard changed the precious metal in his flexible manner. "I made the cup from a round plate, without seams, without anything, just the way he wanted it. Everyone should have a few clever favourite pieces like this. Pieces that really suit you." Bernhard also always has a selection of his most popular creations for the open-minded impulsive buyer. Like the hand-forged knives, whose elegant lines lead directly to the handle of local chamois horn. Or the simple silver heart that hangs from various chains and signifies human connections to the outside world. "I once made one for a mum and her two daughters. Each got their own heart in collated sizes." For whom will it be the next jewel to happiness? There is much to discover.

Inser Hoamat - a genuine piece of the Zugspitz region. Hand-forged unique pieces from the Silberschmiede Adam. Designed here and made here.
